This review is from: Shadows of Death (A Dorothy Martin Mystery) (Hardcover)

Dorothy Martin and hubby, Alan Nesbitt, ret' Chief Constable are on a trip to Orkney to visit stone age excavations. Watson, their beloved mutt, is going along for the duration and intends to take in all the sights with them. Alan's friend, Andrew Appleby, is making all the arrangements for their stay at Orkney and will meet with them to show them the sights.

Andrew tells Dorothy and Alan about the Friends of Ancient Orkney and they make plans to attend a "Friends' meeting together. They soon learn of some deep seated ill feelings towards the American who is financing these excavations.

I've enjoyed reading the Dorothy Martin books before since the author writes clearly on each character bringing them into reality. I especially appreciate the way I'm brought into the story itself. A wonderful series and recommended to all cozy lovers.
